I’m a collector based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. My journey started the way it did for many of us, sitting under the covers with a Game Boy, a worm light, and a copy of Pokémon Red. I still have that original cartridge today. For me, the original 151 isn't just a set of cards. It is my childhood.
From Storefront to Storytelling
PokeVIP started as a business born from a simple goal. I wanted to create a space where people could spend their "allowance money" on packs without worrying about getting scammed. Having been burned by fakes and resealed boxes myself, I wanted to be the safe bet in the hobby.

PokeVIP started as a business born from a simple goal. I wanted to create a space where people could spend their "allowance money" on packs without worrying about getting scammed. Having been burned by fakes and resealed boxes myself, I wanted to be the safe bet in the hobby.
But as the market shifted and prices soared, I realized that chasing profit margins was pulling me away from why I loved Pokémon in the first place. I said goodbye to the suppliers and returned to my first love: the joy of the hunt.
The "PC or Pass" Philosophy
On my channels, it’s all about the "PC or Pass." My Personal Collection (PC) is a curated home for my favorites: Pikachu (always Pikachu!), Charizard, the Eeveelutions, and my prized Master Set of Base Set Unlimited.

On my channels, it’s all about the "PC or Pass." My Personal Collection (PC) is a curated home for my favorites: Pikachu (always Pikachu!), Charizard, the Eeveelutions, and my prized Master Set of Base Set Unlimited.
My rule is simple:
PC: If I don't have it, it stays with me.
Pass: If I already have a copy, I pass it on. I love giving "hits" away to viewers to help them build memories of their own. Even the "bulk" gets a second life. I package it up for local schools and little libraries here in Cedar Rapids or use it to build decks for local play.
Community Over Everything
I’m heavily inspired by the "Humanity over Hobby" approach of creators like DeepPocketMonster. Watching Pat taught me that collecting is better when you don't gatekeep. Now, I don't care if a pack turns $8 into $0.42. If one card in that pack finds a home in a deck or a collection, it’s a win.
